
Acting Director
Achere Cole holds a master’s degree in public policy and management from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a second master’s degree in law from the University of Lagos. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003 and is a CEDR UK Accredited mediator. Achere has national and regional experience in building ADR mechanisms and capacity.
She consulted for the Judiciary of Kenya and the International Development Law Organization on a project to support the implementation of the Sustaining Judiciary Transformation Blueprint of the Judiciary of Kenya and was an External Evaluator for a Court Annexed Pilot Project that was commissioned by the Kenya office of the IDLO and International Commission of Jurists, The Kenya Human Rights Commission and the High Court of Kenya, for the family and commercial divisions of Milamani Law Courts in Nairobi, Kenya.
Achere teaches courses at the LMDC and was a trainer, assessor and mentor for a Justice for All project on “increasing access to mediation and legal services for poor people”. She also provided training for mediators of the Kaduna and Abia Multi-Door Courthouses under a World Bank assisted project to expand ADR institutions in Nigeria. She is a trained election observer by the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping and Training Centre, Ghana. she is now Acting Director of the LMDC.

Assistant Director/Head of Corporate Services
She is a qualified and certified Mediator who holds a master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution as well as a National Diploma in Secretarial Administration. A goal-oriented motivator, Justina Chukwuma has over 30 years combined work experience in HR and Administration which cuts across various sectors of the economy.
JC joined the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse in 2013 as a volunteer and was later offered a contract role as the Relationship Manager. A position which entailed the management of LMDC Communication Strategy and interfacing with various Lagos State Government Parastatals and Agencies on behalf of LMDC. She was appointed Head of Corporate Services in September 2018. A position which entails among other things, providing managerial covers for key support units which include the HR & Training Unit; the Admin Unit; and the IT/Data Unit.
Mrs. Justina Chukwuma is a member of the LMDC Panel of Neutrals; A Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN); A member of the Institute of Governance & Management, Nigeria; and a member of the Taekwondo Supporters' Club (TSCON) among other social affiliations.
Mrs. Chukwuma is a lover of God who volunteers her spare time for various private humanitarian endeavors including offering free family mediation and marriage counseling services. JC has been happily married for over 25 years.
